The Columbia University School of Professional Studies M.S. in Nonprofit Management program invites you to join us for a discussion Black Philanthropy from Jim Crow to Today featuring special guest Dr. Tyrone McKinley Freeman, award-winning author of Madam C.J. Walker's Gospel of Giving: Black Women's Philanthropy During Jim Crow.

This discussion -- led by Dr. Greg Witkowski, Senior Lecturer in Nonprofit Management -- will include lessons for today as well as insights in to the fascinating life of Madam C.J. Walker, America's first female self-made millionaire who established a legacy of giving while living.
