Meet the speaker:
Robin Finn, MA, MPH, is a Los Angeles-based writer, and the founder and creator of HEART. SOUL. PEN.®, a unique writing course that blends deep-dive creativity and soul-centered writing for women. During Covid, she created and launched the online Women's Writing Den, a virtual space for women writers. After graduating cum laude from UCLA, Robin earned a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University, then returned to school in 2010 to earn a second master’s degree in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. HEART. SOUL. PEN. and the Women's Writing Den have grown out of her interest in women's stories, writing, and the creative process.
Robin's (very personal) personal essay on a humorous moment of midlife parenting, "When Our Daughter Walked In On us", was featured in The New York Times, spent several days on the “Most Popular” list, and headlined the NYT online parenting magazine. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, BuzzFeed, Medium.com's Human Parts, and many others. She is the author of 'Restless in L.A.,' named a “Best New Novel of 2017” by Babble.com. Robin offers writing workshops on Zoom and teaches through UCLA Extension Writer’s Program and The Scarsdale Adult School. She is the mom of two teenagers and a young adult and lives with her family in L.A.
