GS - Alumni in Conversation: Financial Wellness and Literacy in Uncertain Times

This event will take place at 10am PDT/1pm EDT and will be virtual. This event is open to all alumni and students.

Columbia's School of General Studies is pleased to offer "Alumni in Conversation", an ongoing virtual series exploring diverse industries.

Through this interactive conversation with Orina Chang '01GS, '04BUS, guests will learn how to effectively manage personal and family finances with a few basic steps, no matter where they stand with their financial situations.

At the end of this conversation, the goal is to better understand how to manage one's own finances, as well as how to review the investments other financial professionals put together.

Have questions you'd like to ask? Make sure to include them when you register!

Note: The Zoom link will be sent to all registered guests prior to the event.

About Orina Chang:

Orina Chang was born in Taiwan and currently resides in New York City where she works as an Alternative Investments Director at Morgan Stanley. In 2001 she earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia with a focus in East Asian Studies, and in 2004 she graduated from Columbia Business School.

Professionally, Orina has worked as a real estate investor and advisor in New York, California and Taiwan, as well as a hedge fund analyst and manager at Oppenheimer Funds. Prior to that, she was a private equity analyst at AmTec, a Carlye seeded public investment firm.

Personally, Orina is passionate about helping people understand simple yet effective ways to manage finances, no matter what their circumstances are. Specifically, Orina brings her institutional buy-side experience with a different approach to risk based on a person’s financial goals rather than the traditional retail balanced portfolio. She is a mother to two children and an active volunteer at several charitable organizations.
