Since 2018, the Committee on Forced Migration, an initiative of the Columbia Global Centers, has focused on providing an institution-wide space to advance discourse, both internal and public, on forced migration-related inquiries and engagement.

To address the multidimensional nature of the COVID-19 crisis, the Committee on Forced Migration will provide a year-long series leveraging Columbia’s expertise to investigate the impact of the crisis on vulnerable, displaced communities. As such, the Committee presents an online event series entitled “Forced Migration in a Post-Pandemic World,” which will look at the impact of this crisis on forced migration, both current and long-term (post-pandemic) effects, through a multidisciplinary set of themes.

Please join us on Thursday, November 8th for our event, titled “Preparation & Planning for Displaced Populations: Global Public Health Responses from the COVID Frontlines”
