Meet our panelists:

Monica Varman, CC’11

Monica Varman is an investor at G2VP, a venture capital fund focused on sustainable innovations in traditional industries such as energy, agriculture, and mobility. She previously worked at Tesla in the business operations team, and at McKinsey & Company in the sustainability practice. Monica graduated Phi Beta Kappa / magna cum laude from CC in 2011 with a BA in Economics-Mathematics and Sustainable Development. She also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jessica Schwartz, CC’11

Jessica Schwartz is a Senior Venture Architect at BCG Digital Ventures (‘DV’), the corporate innovation, investment and incubation arm of Boston Consulting Group. At DV, Jessica focuses on the strategy, operations and monetization of new business builds. Prior to DV, Jessica was a Product Manager, Global Innovation at Starbucks Coffee Company. She started her career in strategy consulting. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Columbia University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and a master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management. Jessica is an avid runner and enjoys reading, traveling and discovering new restaurants.

Beth Malin, CC’11

Beth Malin graduated with an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Columbia College in 2011. After graduating, she began working at Google in New York City. First she supported several senior leaders in ad sales and then moved to the Google for Education team, where she launched a global training program. She then completed her MBA at Kellogg School of Management. During her MBA, she interned at Hilton, working on the Tru by Hilton brand launch. Beth then moved to San Francisco to work at Airbnb on the Airbnb Plus product launch. She later returned to New York City and joined the Uber Eats team.  She began on the Courier Operations team and later served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the US&C Uber Eats business. Beth recently joined a very early stage telehealth start-up, called Calibrate, where she is building out the Operations team.
