Join Hazel McKibbin ’21SOA and Stephanie Fine ’18CC, ’21SOA as they discuss their short film, Doublespeak, an official selection of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
During the program, we will honor current students and alumni who have projects at the 2021 Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals, followed by a screening of Doublespeak (10min). The short film follows a young woman grappling with the aftermath of reporting sexual harassment in the workplace, and keeps with Sundance's tradition of highlighting innovative work by emerging filmmakers who tackle timely and important issues of the day. After the screening, a discussion with Writer/Director Hazel McKibbin ’21SOA and Producer Stephanie Fine ’18CC, ’21SOA will be moderated by CAA Board Member Alece Oxendine ’11SOA.
*The film was shot safely before the pandemic started.
