FRONTLINE, Columbia Reports and The GroundTruth Project invite you to "Miseducation: How Climate Change is Taught in America."
Join FRONTLINE, in partnership with Columbia Global Reports and The GroundTruth Project, for a conversation about misinformation and the state of climate change education. According to a recent Pew Research Center survey, one-third of young adults in the U.S. believe that climate change is not human-made, and no wonder: That’s what they are taught in school. The virtual conversation will explore the climate denialism that’s being taught in the classrooms of millions of school kids.
What are the repercussions of the misinformation? Who has tried to influence what children learn? How successful have they been? We will discuss these and many more topics, including the unique value of nonprofit, nonpartisan journalism, and the power of the partnership between three acclaimed investigative institutions coming together for the first time to publish MISEDUCATION: How Climate Change Is Taught in America, by Katie Worth.
