Join Professor Vince Gennaro, Director of the Sports Management program at Columbia University, as he shares with us about his personal experiences in the sports and analytics areas. You will also be introduced to research he has been conducting in order to build a world class sports management program at Columbia.
Vince Gennaro, is author of Diamond Dollars: The Economics of Winning in Baseball, a consultant to Major League Baseball teams, and President of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). He hosts his weekly national radio show, Behind the Numbers: Baseball SABR Style, on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM and appears regularly on MLB Network’s studio shows, including Clubhouse Confidential, and MLB Now. Gennaro also founded the Diamond Dollars Case Competition series, which brings students and sports executives together in a forum that allows students to apply their skills to solve real sports business problems. This follows a successful 20-year career at PepsiCo and ownership of a pro sports franchise.
