Join Columbia SoCal and Columbia Pride as we continue our celebration of Pride here in Los Angeles!
Columbia alumni, students, and friends are welcome to join us on the lawn of the Autry Museum of the American West as Street Food Cinema presents The Birdcage: A Celebration of Pride. There's (almost) nothing better than watching a great flick outdoors on a summer's night in LA, and what better movie to celebrate the joy and humor of queer cinema than The Birdcage!? Come have fun and laugh along to a true classic.
Tickets will be $20–27 each; we're awaiting confirmation of a discounted group order. For now, please RSVP here so we can get back in touch as soon as tickets are released to us!
To RSVP, there are 2 quick steps:
- RSVP here on this page using the section on the right of this page.
- We'll be in touch with info on how to purchase tickets via email.
Alumni volunteers will get there early to grab as much space as possible for our group. This event is picnic-style with food trucks on site: so plan to bring a blanket, lawn chair, and any snacks/beverages you'd like!
Human and canine +1s are welcome at this event, but since this movie is rated R, it might be best to leave the kiddos at home with the sitter!
Starring: Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman
A gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée's right-wing moralistic parents. Based on 1978 Franco-Italian film La Cage aux Folles and the musical of the same name.
