Meeting new friends & business associates. Our club events have been the source of new jobs, new business contacts, and at least one recent marriage among alumni.
Access to member-only events and member discounts for certain events. These events include both upscale and casual mixers, educational events with Columbia professors and deans, and entertainment events. Mingle with other well-educated & connected local alumni.

Access to our online local alumni directory. Over 5,000 alumni listed in our directory, which you can search for social, educational, and business purposes. Search by city, school, profession, business name, etc. This service has become exceptionally valuable to smart members!
Access to our online community bulletin boards. These have included job postings, social & business requests, political commentary, and so on. There are separate boards for L.A. and Orange counties. Over a dozen job interviews have been arranged in the past half year through these postings.
Access to other Ivy League and top professional school's local events. Through Columbia SoCal's participation in the OC-MBAs, ILASC, and other multi-university groups, you have access to certain major events. Expand your network even further!
Satisfaction of supporting Columbia's local alumni club. We are a self-supporting club and receive no direct support from Columbia. We rely primarily on dues to cover our operating costs.

Please consider joining at the Silver Patron level if you can, which more closely balances our actual costs. However, we encourage everyone to join at any level they wish. We strongly encourage joining & renewing online; you can instantly receive all of the benefits of membership. Still don't choose to become a full club member? Local alumni can at least "register" with an email-only affiliation. You will be included in our searchable Directory (if you wish) and be notified of upcoming events & news by email only. To do so, click the small text link in the website's upper left corner labelled "New Users, Registration is Free".
