Meet the Author –
Professor Jamal Joseph |
The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), Columbia So-Cal, and the Black Alumni Council are pleased to invite you join Jamal Joseph, associate professor at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, for a reception and reading of Panther Baby. Meet Professor Joseph and mingle with other Columbians in the historic Eso Won Bookstore before the reading. |
In Panther Baby, which will be released in February, Professor Joseph details what it meant to be a soldier inside the militant Black Panther movement. He recounts a harrowing, sometimes deadly imprisonment as he charts his path to manhood—a path which eventually brought him back to Columbia University. |
