Welcome to the Columbia Alumni Association of Southern California, Inc. - Columbia Professor Book Reading and Reception

Columbia Alumni Reception and
Book Reading

Meet the Author –
Professor Jamal Joseph

The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), Columbia So-Cal, and the Black Alumni Council are pleased to invite you join Jamal Joseph, associate professor at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, for a reception and reading of Panther Baby. Meet Professor Joseph and mingle with other Columbians in the historic Eso Won Bookstore before the reading.

In Panther Baby, which will be released in February, Professor Joseph details what it meant to be a soldier inside the militant Black Panther movement. He recounts a harrowing, sometimes deadly imprisonment as he charts his path to manhood—a path which eventually brought him back to Columbia University.
