'Heal the Bay' Family Day at Venice Beach
Columbia Community Outreach: come to the beach, get together with other alums, and have some fun while helping the environment!
Family Community Outreach
Save the world and bring your kids!
Join fellow Lions as we help our community and clean a local beach. The morning will start with a brief, but educational, lecture for kids and adults by Heal the Bay about the ecosystem and the impact of beach pollution on our environment. We will supply coffee, gloves, recycling and trash bags to perform the cleanup as well as Columbia Alumni Association Tee Shirts and a bag lunch for all participants (please email email@example.com if you want a vegan lunch). Heal the Bay will provide parking discounts at the local parking lot (@ the Rose Parking Structure, 300 Ocean Front Walk in Venice).
Discounted parking may only be valid during the cleanup, but feel free to stay after the event and enjoy the beach!
