Got Careers?

Concept: The average American college graduate will have 7 careers, not jobs but 7 CAREERS, in her lifetime. How well prepared are we to make these transitions and how can we ensure that we get more interesting and fulfilling careers with each subsequent one? By learning about them from experts in the field and by meeting in a group small enough to ask questions and get practical and specific feedback.

When: Saturday June 7th from 2:30- 5:00 PM

Where: Barbara Ansell's lovely home and gardens at 1950 Wilson in Arcadia , 626-355-4995.

Who should attend: anyone who enjoys a fun and lively event, including those who love their current careers, those who are retired, those who are just starting out and those who are dying to make changes.

The fields:
•   Medicine and Science: Gina Hanna, MD
•   Nonprofit and the Arts: Barbara Punt
•   Consulting and Business: Barbara Ansell and Michelle Saykally (IT consulting)
•   Law: Karen Smith Bryan, Latham
•   Entertainment/ Media/Arts: Dernet Sahin at Fox and Kim Masters at NPR
•   Academia: Susan Downey UCLA
•   General/Multiple Career Counseling: Sarah Carson, Krishna Thangavelu, Raulee Marcus

What you should bring: if you last name begins in A-M bring an appetizer and whatever you want to share for drinks. If your last name begins with N to Y, bring a dessert and whatever you want to share for drinks. Everyone should bring a resume!
