On October 30th last, we met again at thehome of Shannon Rosen in Santa Monica. Shanna's charm, and the attendance of several newcomers, made for a truly great afternoon. This, by the way, was our fourteenth consecutive Poetry and Wine Salon.
On Sunday, February 26th, 2006, at 2pm, we will gather again at Shanna's lovely condo which looks out over Santa Monica Bay. Come join us. Read your own work or some of your favorites. If you prefer, simply sit back and listen with a glass of wine and some cheese and fruit. The ambiance is informal, and it is a good way to meet old friends and make some new ones. Being close to Valentine's Day and early spring, we will focus our readings on "love" and "new beginnings".
THE ADDRESS: 1045 Ocean Avenue, Penthouse, Santa Monica -- right across from the California incline, about one block north of Wilshire Boulevard. Enter the building and walk up two flights. If the lobby door is locked (Shanna will try to keeo it open), call her at (310) 576-6025.
PARKING: All-day metered and unmetered parking is right in front at 25 cents for 15 minutes; a public parking structure is on 2nd Street just south of Wilshire (first two hours are free); or valet park at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel on the next block.
COST: Still $8.00 for members and their guests, and $10.00 for non-members. Attendance is limited to 15 people -- so don't wait to register.
