Hu, Hugo, Peña Nieto: Relics of the Past or Harbingers of the Future?

APRIL 19, 2013 | LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

The Pacific Council on International Policy, the West Coast's premier, non-partisan international affairs membership organization, is pleased to extend a special invitation to members of the Columbia Alumni Association of Southern California to attend our fourth annual Spring Conference.

The Council engages a diverse network of leaders from a broad range of professions that are heavily invested in understanding international affairs and affecting public policy. We provide our members with opportunities to enhance their knowledge of global issues and to augment their professional and personal efficacy in the international arena.

This year's day of debate and exchange will seek to ascertain how recent and impending transitions in key countries such as China, Egypt, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Venezuela, among others, will impact the composition of the global agenda. In this context, we will have the opportunity to discuss implications for a number of timely and pressing policy issues including: global economic uncertainty; shifting power structures and diplomatic priorities; and infrastructure, resource and human security.
